Purposes and legal bases for the processing of personal data
The purpose of the processing is to fulfill the public tasks assigned to us by the legislature, in particular to inform the public.
Unless otherwise stated, the legal basis for the processing of your data is Article 4 Paragraph 1 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Subparagraph 1 Letter e of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In order to avert dangers to security in information technology, data can be forwarded to the State Office for Information Security in the case of electronic transmission and processed there on the basis of Art. 12 et seq. of the Bavarian E-Government Act.
Duration of storage of personal data
Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the task in compliance with statutory retention periods.
Your rights
If we process your personal data, you as the data subject have the following rights:
You have the right to information about the data stored about you (Article 15 GDPR).
If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR).
If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing (Articles 17 and 18 GDPR).
If you have consented to the processing or if there is a contract for data processing and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have a right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR).
If you have consented to the processing and the processing is based on this consent, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.
You have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation if the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter e or f GDPR (Article 21 Paragraph 1 sentence 1 GDPR).

As part of our press and public relations work, films and photos are taken at events and appointments in which you may be recognizable. You can object to the recording and/or publication.
Please use the contact details given above (at the beginning of A) for your objection.
Electronic mail (e-mail)
Information that you send to us unencrypted by electronic mail (e-mail) can possibly be read by third parties on the transmission path. As a rule, we cannot check your identity and do not know who is behind an e-mail address. A legally secure communication by simple e-mail is therefore not guaranteed. Like many e-mail providers, we use filters against unwanted advertising ("SPAM filters"), which in rare cases also automatically classify normal e-mails as unwanted advertising and delete them. E-mails containing damaging programs (“viruses”) are automatically deleted by us in any case.
If you want to send us messages worthy of protection, we recommend that you encrypt and sign them to prevent unauthorized access and falsification during transmission, or that you send the message to us by conventional mail. You can send encrypted e-mails to our De-Mail address poststelle@amberg-sulzbach.de-mail.de. The Bayernportal offers further options at https://www.freistaat.bayern.de.
